Welcome!
FAQs

  • What is it like? At Shalom, you can expect a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Our services alternate weekly from a more traditional service to a more contemporary service. There will be uplifting music, meaningful messages, and a community that seeks to grow together in faith. Whether you are new to church or have been attending for years, you'll find a place to belong here.
  • What about my kids? At Shalom, we love to hear our children in worship! We encourage families to worship together and welcome the joyful sounds of children as a part of our community. Families can grow in faith together through our Faith Time (Sunday School) and youth programs, which provide fun and nurturing learning experiences on Wednesday evenings.
  • What do I wear? Come as you are! Here, you'll see everything from jeans and t-shirts to more traditional Sunday attire. We want you to feel comfortable, so wear whatever makes you feel at ease.
  • How can I get connected? There are many ways to get connected at Shalom! Join us for worship, explore small groups, attend one of our events, or volunteer in one of our ministries. You can also reach out to our council members and staff, and we would be happy to help you find a place that fits your interests and gifts.
  • Do I needto be Lutheran to attend? No, you don't! Everyone is welcome at Shalom, regardless of background or denomination. We encourage people from all walks of life to join us in worship and community. We are ALL God's children!
  • How long are the services? Our worship services typically last about an hour. This includes time for music, prayer, a sermon, communion, and other elements of worshiping together in community.
  • How do I join the church? If you are interested in becoming a member of Shalom, we offer new member classes where you can learn more about our community, faith, and how to get involved. Reach out to our office for more information on the next class!
  • Are there opportunities for adults to grow in faith? Absolutely! We have small groups, Bible studies, and adult education opportunities that meet regularly to explore faith, study Scripture, and support one another in life's journey.
